What
sorts of people does MagiQ hire?
That depends on the type of project. For development projects, we’re
seeking an inter-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists. For
research, we’re looking for people who have strong interests in
specific areas of quantum science.
Because we
regard quantum science as a fertile area for future commercialization, we
don’t focus on basic research. Research experience in quantum science
and strong interest in real-life applications are ideal.
How
much freedom do researchers have at MagiQ?
We encourage our researchers to be proactive in proposing their research
agendas. At the same time, we look to them to take a broad view of quantum
solutions, both from the scientific/technological side and the
application/business side.
Can
I work for MagiQ and still publish?
Yes, although there will probably be certain proprietary information that
has to be protected. We feel that having our scientists publish not only
increases MagiQ's stature in the quantum science community, but also helps
them stay at the forefront of their specialties.
